So I met a guy a few weeks ago on a London dating app (on CLiKD, which is a brand new dating app), because how else do you meet people these days. Bu I was low key struggling to decide on what to do that wasn't just getting drinks (which I do love, but it does get a bit dull). And considering its London, I did a bit of googling and asking friends, and put together a list of really fun date ideas in London to try, some of which I've already ticked off! I figured if I was struggling, then maybe some of you guys were as well.

Junkyard Golf
I'm a sucker for an activity date, especially for the first few times you go out with someone new. Not only is it just fun and makes it less awkward, but you can also get a better feel for their personality. Are they competitive? Are they a sore loser? One of my favourite activities to do is crazy golf and London does this very very well. Based in hipster Shoreditch, Junkyard Golf is a converted warehouse with four different mini golf courses, all with their own themes. You can get quirky cocktails on your way in (the Ribena one is delicious!) and there's also a bar half way through the course. Oh, did I mention it's glow in the dark as well? Your mood lighting is sorted.
2. Hampstead Heath
Summer has officially hit London with temperatures going up to 30 degrees when I'm writing this (apologies if it's gone to shit when you're reading this). And what's better in the summer than a picnic in the park, with a cheeky dip in the ponds at Hampstead Heath. The park goes on for ages so you won't run out of places to go before your date is over making it a really fun date in London.
3. After Hours at the Zoo
I know what you're thinking. London Zoo doesn't exactly scream fun date idea in London but hear me out. During the summer, London Zoo do this event called after hours where they keep the Zoo open later than usual and you're not allowed to bring kids. So instead of it feeling noisy and stressful, the zoo becomes a super chilled out place to visit. They even have food trucks with a lot of different options. I did a whole review about it if you want to see pictures of the event here.
4. A Walk-Through Little Venice
Filled with narrow boats and alongside charming pubs and tree-lined streets, Little Venice is a tucked away gem in London. Take a stroll beginning your journey in Little Venice and walk along the water all the way into Camden. For a little something extra, you could take a boat down the canal which runs from March to November. There are some great pubs and cafes down the canal that are perfect for quick rest and drink with your date.
5. Rooftop Film Club
If drinking is not your thing then rooftop cinema is a great alternative. The Rooftop Film Club has venues in Peckham, Shoreditch, Stratford and Kensington and comes with comfy chairs, wireless headphones and blankets in case the air gets a little nippy. They've got a great selection of movies this year from Clueless to Captain Marvel! A great idea for date night - they've even got a love-seater deal.
