An Evening at Sketch, London

When I got to London nine months ago, the only thing on my list of places to go was Sketch. Nine months later my list has grown a million pages long, and I still hadn't gone to Sketch. But this week I finally booked it for dinner (forget Afternoon Tea if you want to go within the next century).

Sketch has a selection of rooms to dine but the one that captured my heart was The Gallery, a room lavished in pink, from retro pink chairs to the pink walls. It's a gorgeous layout, but don't let the girly-ness fool you, it is full of weird but fun quirks.

Walking into the candy floss coloured room (literally from the chairs to the walls) was literally an Instagram post come to life. You know some of those places where you feel right at home because you’ve just seen it so often online? New York and Sketch are two of those kinds of places for me.

After some yummy cocktails were delivered, we settled on our mains; a classic fish and chips and a lamb fillet. Now I have to admit, when my main arrived (the lamb) I wasn’t to impressed, cause I’m a girl who likes her decent sized portions, and mine looked *ahem* practically non-existent. But I was eating my words by the end because I was seriously full by the end.

BUT-BUT-BUT, that’s not even the best part! As a side, I got the most scrumptious, delicious, yummy onion rings. There will never be enough adjectives to describe how amazing they were. I’m a self-confessed onion ring connoisseur and I declare these the best I’ve ever had.

On to more sweeter things, we decided to share the inside out profiteroles. Whilst I didn’t quite understand the meaning behind the name, they were pretty delicious, but a bit too rich for me.

Overall, if you’re looking for a place to splurge for your girlfriend or friend who loves all things girly, Sketch is a must do! The food surpassed my expectations and the experience is unbeatable! The cocktails are a tad bit too pricey in my opinion but so is London to be fair.
