Ahh London, how I covet thee. It's one of my favourite places in the whole world with it's mix of tradition and modern touches. You can't really turn any corner without stumbling across something beautiful. You can find yourself wandering and looking ahead all the time, yet some of the best advice when first visiting London was to look up. When you spend life only looking straight ahead, sometimes to stop and look at the architecture or nature above you is a beautiful break.
So, because of this one of my must do's in London is seeing the view from the top. And nothing beats the London Eye. There are now other options now like The Shard, Sky Garden but with the whole of Westminster splayed out in front of you, the London Eye really offers an iconic experience. Make sure to book tickets online here and time it so you make it for the sunset! That way you can watch light turn to dark and see a multitude of colours coat the city. It's really a magical sight.
Afterwards take a stroll down the thames and find that unique perspective of Big Ben. Also, if you want to embrace your inner ten year old, make sure to stop by Namco's, a retro arcade with loads of games and activities that'll keep you entertained all night!
